Easy ticket out of my test

I could have Infective Endocarditis. This is exactly what my right middle finger looked like last week, and here's what the Utah Pathology website has to say about it:

Seen here in the finger at the right are small splinter hemorrhages in a patient with infective endocarditis. These hemorrhages are subungual, linear, dark red streaks. Similar hemorrhages can also appear with trauma.

That last sentence there probably saved me from having a heart attack on the spot.
