A Pinteresque Nobel

I like Harold Pinter. So this is good news. I read The Birthday Party and The Room a few years ago when I was going through my obnoxious playwrights phase. See also Ionesco, Garcia Lorca, and Beckett.

There was a New Yorker article maybe 6 years ago, maybe longer, about the politics behind the announcement of the prize. Salman Rushdie won't get his until some member of the committee dies, and that fellow won't die until Rushdie does. Or something.
